On Saturday, I had a yoga photoshoot with one of my dear friends, Kaitlyn. As many of you know, I have been working on building my blogs so that you all can practice with me even if you’re not in the area.
Anyway, for some reason, I was pretty nervous for this photoshoot. I have done some amateur modeling before and during those photoshoots I would feel awkward, uncomfortable and “fat”.
During the yoga photoshoot, I discovered a different side of myself. A side that was completely comfortable in her own skin. A side that knew that she was imperfect and embraced the imperfections. A side that was confident and radiant.
I have been working toward true confidence for years now. Growing up, I always wanted my personality, body, skin or hair to be different. I could never just enjoy my true self.
There are many reasons that I am now able to be comfortable in my own skin. I have used yoga and meditation as my guide to self love. I have also removed toxic people from my life, and replaced them with loving a supportive people.
The journey to self-love and confidence is long, and I cannot say that I have mastered it. Through yoga and meditation, it is possible to begin this wonderful and sometimes painful journey.
I am truly grateful to be where I am today. I plan to continue practicing self-love and creating peace with my flaws.
Namaste.
So proud of you!!
Thank you so much Heather! ❤
