An Ode to my Inner Child

When I say inner child, I’m referring to myself in every stage of life. From the day I was born until now, I completely honor the person that I have been.

Every belief that I created to protect myself worked for the time that I needed it. Every pattern of behavior and every habit I needed to get through all the phases of my life worked. I am still here.

Our brains create beliefs, patterns and habits that can help us survive. To me, It’s the most beautiful aspect of human intelligence.

The fact is that I respect myself for using the tools we needed to get to this point, but we don’t need them anymore. We are safe enough to transform into the person that the world needs.

I am doing the work. Going through and detecting false beliefs from childhood and doing what I can to nurture my inner child.
